Saw him twice in Nashville, Indiana. Was great because got up to the stage to shake his hand and get autographs, Saw him in Owensboro, Ky at the Executive Inn and had VIP tickets so we got autographs and shook his hand again. Also saw him at the Strawberry festival in Florida but the stage was real high and no one could get very near to him. Will remember these times Foever and ever, Amen. Betty
I've seen Randy over ten times and I've loved every one of them. I've lived from Florida to Minnesota and anytime he's within three to four hours away, I'm there! He is my absolute favorite performer! I could sit and listen to him sing for hours. His music touches me so much that at times, tears come to my eyes (I know, sounds corney). I have every CD that he has ever released which has got to be pushin close to 30. I just love him!! I've never had the opportunity to meet him but I would love to! I'll be seeing him again on Sept 25th in Hinckley, MN (I'll be in the fifth row in case he reads this). I can't wait! Thanks, Cathy Smith
It has been several years since you have performed in Delaware, New Jersey (Atlantic City), and Pennsylvania (Philadelphia area). Do you think that you might schedule dates in the near future in these areas? We miss you here. I'm going through withdraw. For numerous years I was able to attend your shows that were nearby my home and now I'm lucky to see you once every three years. Please, Please schedule a few shows in the Delaware, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania areas.
Things are slowing down here since Randys album is out. How 'bout a contest at each of Randys up comming shows, fans can enter , and Randy can pull out of a hat (expression here), who will win to meet and greet him back stage at each of his last shows? I won't personally be going to any ticket shows, but I just thought it would be a neat idea. Maybe they can sign up here on the blog. A picture can be taken of the winners and Randy.
That sounds like an awesome idea! It would be totally awesome to get a Meet and Greet with Randy! However, we can always dream and maybe it might come true! I wonder if he would be autographing at his Tomorro Concert in London, Ontario?
That would be one of my dreams come true if he did!
I found out today I am going to be able to go to the concert in Grand Prairie Tx on the 26th of October. To say I'm excited is an understatement. I am much like you Cathy in that I could sit and listen to Randy for hours. I listen to him while I'm at work and I seldom go to work without a Randy t shirt on. I have his pictures at home and work. I was looking at some of the recent photos of Randy and I have seen those expressions many times. He is so gentle with people. I'll be the redhead in the 3rd row on the 26th of October hahahhaha!!!!! Have fun everyone and hope your concert is great, Cathy. denise, cowwoman60
TOMORROW, I am going to see Randy live in concert!! My seat is 2 rows from the stage, at the end of an aisle in the centre section. I am so EXCITED I can't contain myself. I don't know how I am going to sleep! I will be sure to post a review and pictures on Sunday!!!!
That was the best concert Randy has got such an amazing voice i was not able to get an autograph but hey when the good Lord wills it it will happen. so thank you Randy for comming to belleville it was truely a blessing!

I didn't get to sleep until 3 am and was back up at 5, I am just so excited I can't stand it. The show doesn't start until 8 pm but I am heading down there about 4:30 because the radio station will be broadcasting live from there at 5:00 p.m. I am praying they may have some kind of contest that people could win backstage passes. I don't need a better seat because mine is awesome but MAN OH MAN would I love to meet and have my picture take with the MAN!! Like I said earlier I will be sure to give a full report when I get home!
God was good to me last night I tell you! I had a ticket in Row B for Randy's show in Ottawa last night. Of course I assumed this was second row. I was absolutely over the top when I got to my seat only to realize that there was no row A and I was actually sitting in the front row, just left of the centre section. WHOO HOO! THe concert was a beneift to raise money for our children's hospital and mid show a cheque was presented to CHEO for over $2,200 . Randy certainly did not disappoint with his show. He is just as good now as he has ever been. He opened with my favourite tune, Digging up Bones and closed with Forever and Ever Amen and the jokes, the stories, the songs, the everything in between was absolutely SUPERB! After Forever and Ever Amen, Randy stood on the stage for a great length of time signing autograph after autograph. The fans wouldn't let him go, nor did he seem to want to go. Not only did I get my Forever and Ever Amen canvas bag signed but he also treated me with a second autograph on an 8x10 picture for my Aunt. He then kept coming back to borrow my Sharpie marker (I always come prepared) to sign others autographs. And you know what, he didn't charge a single dime for any of the autographs. The autographs were TOTALLY FREE, just like they have ALWAYS been at a Randy concert. I have been to see MANY, MANY, MANY country artists, and other than the ones that are still in the early parts of their careers and trying to build a fan base, or the ones that are really not that famous (like George Fox), none of them stood on the stage at the end of their shows signing autographs like Randy did/does at almost every show where it is possible. Now back to the concert...when Randy's band walked out on stage, I knew the one guitarist looked so familiar to me. I was so surprised when Randy introduced Robb Houston from Sixwire. I watched American Band purely for that band. What an added bonus to see him live! And for a perfect end to a perfect night, LD tossed me a guitar pic to add to my small, but growing collecton of guitar pics. Thank you Randy for giving me a night I will remember the rest of my life! I have submitted pictures of the concert to the fan gallery, so if you are interested check them out. I assume they will probably be posted within a few days or so.
April, I'm so happy for you and glad you had such a good time.
I know what you mean showing up only to have your seat be front row with no Row A. that has happened to me a couple of times. Believe it or not, I actually did show up at one show though and my seats were gone. they had removed that row to expand the stage. Talk about frustration. but everything was worked out andit is kind of funny now.
I looked at the Ottawa Citizen website and I couldn't find that review to save my soul. I will be picking up the hard copy tomorrow. I have also looked for a review in the Ottawa Sun online but haven't found one yet. Maybe you could find it.
April, I am so glad you got to see Randy perform live. And got the things autographed .All FREE!
How anyone can SUGGEST the sales promotion as an attempt to sell his autograph is ludicrous. Randy generously always signs items at the end of every concert, when he is not pinched for time, to make it to another state for his next concert. Dee

The first time I saw him was in Providence RI 20 years ago; I was a freshman in a high school outside Boston and a proud member of his fan club. Twenty years is way too long between live performances. Randy seems like an old friend though -- once you get back in the same room it's like you (I) never left.
I'd love to see him do an acoustic or gospel show; the music tonight seemed to over power Randy's voice at times (still the concert was wonderful.)
Just wanted to say i was also at the concert at Hinkley , always have a great time. I want to say i was the one with the Monkey ok i messed up and had the wrong kind, but at least it was a monkey. I enjoy the new cd and look forward to the new DVD Not the winter weather though, and i also look forward to seeing Randy again in concert.
Hi, I didn't get to see Randy there or Durham Fair, my mother was diagnosed with cancer and died that year, it wasn't a good year. I did get to see him at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford though. Excellant show. I would love to meet him one day. Did you get to meet him?
Fran sorry about your mom. My mom is 85 today and my brother is 58 today. No I didn't get to meet Randy at Mohegan Sun but I am hoping that possibly in Dec. I will get that chance. I am more concerned about just getting to his shows in Canada at this point more then actually meeting him but meeting him would complete the trip.
I've been to every Randy concertthat hes had in and around ILL. so I guess that makes at least 7 times! Each one has been better than the last and I sure hope he keeps coming to the NO. ILL. -Wi area because I'll be there!!!!!
I've been to 15 of Randys shows, traveling some distance to several states for some of them. Three times I bought tickets and was unable to attend for one reason or another.
One I actually went to, but had to leave before his show started due to getting very sick . We had stopped at a small eatery on our way to his concert. Don't know for certain if it was the food or just something else, But all of a sudden I began to really feel very ill. Needless to say, we never got to see Randy.
Then last year after purchasing tickets for his show in Va, our jeep went on the bum and we couldn't make it to that show. There was one other early on in his career that a friend was unable to take me at the last minute due to an unexpected situation in her family. Dee
I checked out the Dig Two Graves video and thought it was pretty cool. I have to be honest and say that I'm pretty dissapointed overall though with the ranch.
As a suggestion maybe they can have a live viewing of one of his concerts or something every once in a while, or perhaps they can offer downloads of actual music. Maybe some of the super rare stuff? How about some of the older tracks that didnt make it on an album.
Sorry folks for complaining, but even Randy's Ranch has a duty to provide some value for the 20 bucks we paid them for the membership.
I know some are disappointed, perhaps, in what the ranch has offered but keep in mind, if everyone who paid the $20 took advantage of their certificate offered with paid membership, you really didn't lose anything. And of course, if anyone didn't, not sure then anyone can complain about the $20. Just a thought.
I guess it is just me but just to know I am a member supporting randy really is enough for me. I'd like to see abit more done, perhaps, like the pre-sale gold rush ticket sales that were mentioned at the start but otherwise, I really personally didn't lose out on anything as far as getting my money's worth..

My girl and I seen Randy live in Phoenix at the Celebrity theatre on 10/08/08 absolutely a terrific show, had seats in the first row and enjoyed every second. Even though he complained of something in the air here in Phoenix, (probably smog) he sang his heart out and entertained us in between sets with a remarkable sense of humor. It was a night we'll not forget. Thanks Randy, we'll see you next time.
dhlee75, glad you enjoyed the show. Don't take randy's comments about the air in Phoenix personally of course. He often has had problems with allergies at various places; a lot of people do I guess.
But Randy always seems to be able to pull it off an perform a fantastic show at that.
Again, I'm glad you had a good time.

Thanks for your comment and your link to the AZ Republic article and slideshow, we actually found ourselves in one of the pics, wow! Thanks again, you helped make the evening just that much more special.
I saw Randy about 2 years ago at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Fla. My husband gave me a ticket on Chirstmas Day to see him in Feb. We had very good seats and the show was GREAT. Hoping he comes back to Plant City again soon. Also loved hearing him sing "Three Wooden Crosses." Anything he does is worth seeing. May the Lord watch over him and his band. Randy, keep up the great work and loving our Lord Savior.
hi oh man i wish you could come here to newzealand haha i know its far away but i absolutely love your voice im a 23 year old girl and fell in love with your music straight away and have been listening to you for about 4 years now my favourite song of course been forever and ever amen which is the song that is going to be walking me down the aisle oh and on the other hand will be playing sometime that nite too,,,you should come sing live hehehe....please come to newzealand i know lots of people that would love to see you as ive made all my friends and family love your music as much as i do ...

Just saw Randy two evenings ago at the Valley View casino. This was my 15th RT concert, and it was one of his best. I've seen Randy in S. Ca, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Upstate NY. The crowd was very large, and everybody just loved Randy. I'd be in Vegas watching him tonite, but I couldn't get off from work. I can't wait for his Christmas DVD to be released.
I always enjoy hearing about Randy's concerts from other fans who have attended when and where I can't. Love knowing how he was recieved in area's that are not geographically known for supporting country music. So it always puts a smile on my face when I hear/read that he was well recieved. That the crowd loved him. His shows are always great to me. Even when I've heard the same songs repeatedly. He just makes every experience so enjoyable and rewarding. Not just because of his incredible talent but because of his character and charisma. And the man has both in spades! Know what you mean Dave about wishing you could go to every show. Dee
I have been a fan forever however my husband (by proxy was introduced to Randy) and had found GOD and he drives a truck at night and i bought him a couple of Randys goselp cd and he LOVED them, help him get through the night and in good sprits(and awake) (missing me ahaha) Randy thanks for your words and God Bless your family!
I am rock and my wife is country. I have dragged my wife to several rock concerts and taken her to 0 country- until now. I surprised her with tickets to see Randy at Nokia theater in Dallas on 26 Oct 08. She thought that was just the most romantic thing i have ever done- (We have grown kids by the way) I just signed her up today for Randy's ranch (25 Oct) because we are both in our 40's and kinda computer illiterate. So I know this is VERY short notice but if anyone out there knows how I could get some backstage passes for my wife at Nokia I would really love to know- she would love me forever for that. You see, in 1994 I scored backstage passes to a Rush concert and got to meet Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee (bandmembers), and I would love for her to have a memory to cherish for years to come.
It is not corney that you tear up when you hear him sing. I do the same thing. I saw him for the first time in Montgomery, Al. And i teared up just when he went on stage. I was the best concert i have ever been to. I have loved that man since i was about 8 years old. Well got to go for now.
I just wanted to tell Jen_28 that if you want backstage passes your local radio station that is sponsoring Randy's show should have some kind of contest for a limited amount. In Dallas at Nokia theater my wife and I entered and managed one pass- of course I had to give it to her. If you read my other plea for passes from 25 Oct you understand why.
OMG!! I love randy travis my bf listens to him all the time. My favorite is diggin up bones, and forever and ever amen, that's mine and my bf's favortie song of all time. Were going to play forever and ever amen at out wedding in a few months. I cant wait he is an amazing artist and he's a great actor to. In the movie he played in wth Patrick Swazy was great. I watch it all the time. he's songs bring something out in me, and help me think about the world today , and our ecomony. THANKS RANDY !!!!
Listening to youre music gets me through each day,
Im having a realy sad day and had a sad life, but listening to youre music gets me through each day,Like it always has.You have gotten me through some very sad times .I have lost my younger brother in car accident,And my oldest brother also passed in his car from Carbenben oxide poising on Christmas Eve and my oldest sister from cancer,Today would have been my little brothers 39th birthday,And I miss him so much. I also lost my dad this Summer and my 3 year old neice from cancer. So when I say you have gotten me through a lot I realy mean it from the bottom of my heart. When ever I am feeling sad I just get in my car and put youre tape in and forget all my problems and sarrowes.I go to see you when ever I can. I have seen you in concert every time you came to Pa,At Kirby Center ,Wilkes barre also Bloomsburg Fair back in 86,Allentown Fair and Went to Turning Stone too to see you,Last year I seen you at Penns Peak in the Poconos.I was the one that jumped on stage and got thrown out but it was worth it lol,And this Summer I was on Good Morning America when you were there.I was the one with the sign Peg loves you with the big red heart .I couldnt believe I got the email the day before at 6:00pm that said I had a V.I.P. pass if
I can be at the ABC Studio by 7:00 in the morning.I wa flat broke So I borrowed money off my brothers for the bus to get to New York .But he only had enough for me to get there but I ddint care as long as I got there,I wasnt worried about getting home,But my other brother gave me money to get home.So I drove an hour to the Poconos and jumped on a the bus all by myself 4:00 in the morning .It, was scary but when I got to New York That was even scarier,I had no clue were I was going but I found my way to Time Square, and waited out side of the ABC Studio,Till the lady called me and 7 other fans in .I couldnt believe I was standing write next to the stage.I dont know how I held my kool and didnt jump on you,lol I cried my heart out ,But I kept my Kool and had the best day of my life .I know my brother and sisters and dad were looking down on me from Heaven and were thrilled for me. ,I was so happy when I got to meet you after the show and got my picture taken with you,I still can;t believe I met you.It was my life long dream,And you were so sweet and funny,I just wanted to let you know how much you mean to me,And thank you for getting me through every thing,Love you with all my heart Peggy from Pa
Peggy,
There is no denying it. When you are feeling down, listening to Randy Travis sing his inspirational songs will lift you up. I have every Album, and CD that Randy has made. I have not been fortunate to see him in concert, but pray that day will come.
I know your excitement must have been "over the top" when seeing him in person on Good Morning America. I watched it from my home, and was inspired. I am glad that you didn't jump up on stage, as I know his respect for you only grew because you didn't. He is most beloved by so many of us.
RT Forever,
Pat

Concerts
Dee
The Ranch
I checked out the Dig Two Graves video and thought it was pretty cool. I have to be honest and say that I'm pretty dissapointed overall though with the ranch.
As a suggestion maybe they can have a live viewing of one of his concerts or something every once in a while, or perhaps they can offer downloads of actual music. Maybe some of the super rare stuff? How about some of the older tracks that didnt make it on an album.
Sorry folks for complaining, but even Randy's Ranch has a duty to provide some value for the 20 bucks we paid them for the membership.
The Ranch - No Money Lost

Randy in Phoenix
My girl and I seen Randy live in Phoenix at the Celebrity theatre on 10/08/08 absolutely a terrific show, had seats in the first row and enjoyed every second. Even though he complained of something in the air here in Phoenix, (probably smog) he sang his heart out and entertained us in between sets with a remarkable sense of humor. It was a night we'll not forget. Thanks Randy, we'll see you next time.
Randy in Phoenix
dhlee75, glad you enjoyed the show. Don't take randy's comments about the air in Phoenix personally of course. He often has had problems with allergies at various places; a lot of people do I guess.
But Randy always seems to be able to pull it off an perform a fantastic show at that.
Again, I'm glad you had a good time.

Randy in concert
I saw Randy about 2 years ago at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Fla. My husband gave me a ticket on Chirstmas Day to see him in Feb. We had very good seats and the show was GREAT. Hoping he comes back to Plant City again soon. Also loved hearing him sing "Three Wooden Crosses." Anything he does is worth seeing. May the Lord watch over him and his band. Randy, keep up the great work and loving our Lord Savior.

RT Concert
Just saw Randy two evenings ago at the Valley View casino. This was my 15th RT concert, and it was one of his best. I've seen Randy in S. Ca, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Upstate NY. The crowd was very large, and everybody just loved Randy. I'd be in Vegas watching him tonite, but I couldn't get off from work. I can't wait for his Christmas DVD to be released.
Dave...thanks for your concert review
I always enjoy hearing about Randy's concerts from other fans who have attended when and where I can't. Love knowing how he was recieved in area's that are not geographically known for supporting country music. So it always puts a smile on my face when I hear/read that he was well recieved. That the crowd loved him. His shows are always great to me. Even when I've heard the same songs repeatedly. He just makes every experience so enjoyable and rewarding. Not just because of his incredible talent but because of his character and charisma. And the man has both in spades! Know what you mean Dave about wishing you could go to every show. Dee

backstage passes
It is not corney that you
It is not corney that you tear up when you hear him sing. I do the same thing. I saw him for the first time in Montgomery, Al. And i teared up just when he went on stage. I was the best concert i have ever been to. I have loved that man since i was about 8 years old. Well got to go for now.

backstage passes
I just wanted to tell Jen_28 that if you want backstage passes your local radio station that is sponsoring Randy's show should have some kind of contest for a limited amount. In Dallas at Nokia theater my wife and I entered and managed one pass- of course I had to give it to her. If you read my other plea for passes from 25 Oct you understand why.

Randy's Music
Peggy,
There is no denying it.
RT Forever,
Pat
